Batman and Robin #23

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Batman and Robin #23 retitles as Batman and Nightwing for this 2013 installment, subtitled "Second Chances." Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray's cover pulls no punches — Batman and Nightwing are locked in a fierce mid-air brawl against a white-clad, gas-masked adversary, debris scattering around them as fists and escrima sticks fly. Peter J. Tomasi's "Acceptance" arc continues to push these characters to their limits, and this cover makes it abundantly clear that whatever second chances are on offer, they won't come easy.
