Batman and Robin #17

Part four of "Memento" arrives with a cover by Javi Fernández that sets a genuinely unsettling mood: Batman stands in a rain-soaked alley, a crackling blue batarang in hand, while Robin holds his ground just behind him — both figures dwarfed by a massive, shadowy creature looming overhead. The tagline "From the shadows, a monstrous memento…" promises that whatever has been lurking in this arc is finally, fully here. Phillip Kennedy Johnson and the artistic team of Fernández and Maiolo have been building something dark, and this issue looks like the confrontation fans have been anticipating.
