Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray's cover for this 2012 New 52 installment makes an immediate impression: the skull-faced villain Terminus dominates the foreground, leveling a massive multi-barreled weapon directly at the viewer while a battered Batman slumps in the lower corner, surrounded by jagged debris and sickly green-yellow energy. The tagline "Terminus Wants You!" gives the whole composition a pointed, confrontational charge that's hard to shake. Peter Tomasi's "Terminus, Last Gasp" promises a high-stakes chapter in this dynamic Dark Knight partnership title.
