In the shadowed streets of Gotham after midnight, Batman moves through a city alive with secrets. As D.J. Dark spins tales on the radio, a hobo is found dead, and a cocaine smuggler flees through the alleys—only to be hunted by the Dark Knight. Meanwhile, police close in on Deke Mitchel, a fugitive from prison with a deadly mission: to find someone named Kadaver. When Mitchel hides in a toxic waste site, a sudden lightning strike ignites the area, leaving his fate uncertain.
