In "The Costume of Doom," a photo shoot for Batman impersonators takes a deadly turn when one of them is shot, sparking a wave of attacks targeting the costumed men and even Bruce Wayne himself. As the mystery unfolds, Wayne uncovers a sinister link between the impersonators and a gang with a dangerous plan involving stolen gold bullion.

In "Human Target," Batman and Robin cross paths with Fred Venable, a man who uses his talent for impersonation to protect others—taking the place of those marked for death in exchange for cash to save his daughter’s life. When a ruthless mobster takes notice, Venable is forced into a deadly game, now posing as the mobster himself to survive a hit squad sent to eliminate him.
