A menacing, silver-haired bruiser fills the foreground of this December 1992 issue, thrusting a laser-sighted sniper pistol directly at the reader — the villain's jagged metal teeth and skull-adorned chain leaving no doubt that "Headhunter" means serious business. Batman and Robin watch warily from the upper-left corner, framed against a gloomy Gotham backdrop lit by the yellow Bat-symbol overhead. Ed Hannigan's pencils and Jim Aparo's inks make for a tightly composed, genuinely unsettling cover, while Moench and Aparo bring their reliable partnership to the interior story, "Box of Blood.
