Batman #482

Jim Aparo's cover for Batman #482 (1992) sets a striking scene: a white-haired, green-masked woman — the Harpy — looms over Batman with a chain pulled taut between them, her fierce expression and dramatic pose suggesting she's very much in control of this encounter. Moonlit classical statues stand watch in the background, lending an eerie, museum-like atmosphere to the confrontation, while a small inset panel teases Robin's presence in the corner. Doug Moench's "Vengeance of the Harpy" promises exactly the kind of tense, atmospheric clash that made early-'90s Batman such compelling reading.
