Batman #29
In "Deel een: Ingeronden brieven," a new vigilante named Anarky emerges, inspired by real letters to the editor that expose societal flaws. As Batman and Alfred investigate the growing pattern of targeted actions, they find themselves drawn into a web of unrest led by a young man named Lonnie Machin, whose parents, Mike and Roxanne Machin, are caught in the storm of their son’s radical mission.
In "Deel twee: Feiten over vleermuizen," Anarky rallies a group of homeless individuals—Mark, Tyrone, Mike Machin, Lou, Roxanne Machin, Legs, and Pete—to resist a new bank’s construction that’s pushed them out of their homes, while Batman, guided by Alfred and Commissioner Gordon, races to stop him. As tensions rise and the city’s underbelly erupts into protest, Robin’s spectral image watches from the shadows, a silent witness to a conflict where justice and rebellion blur.
