The stark, high-contrast cover by Tim Sale says everything without saying a word — Batgirl tumbles helplessly through a cascade of blood-red, her black-and-white figure tiny against the overwhelming crimson flood, debris scattering around her in freefall. It's a genuinely arresting image that sets a grim, urgent tone for "Blood Matters Part Two: Turning Abel," the second chapter of what promises to be one of the darker arcs in this series' run.
