Batgirl #35

From DC's Batgirl series comes issue #35 (February 2003), with a cover by Damion Scott and Robert Campanella bursting with bold psychedelic energy — a mysterious suited figure dodges point-blank gunfire while a looming, stitched-faced villain dominates the background in shades of purple and pink. The tagline "Who Is Alpha?" hangs across the bottom, promising that writer Kelley Puckett's story "Blank Slate" has some compelling questions to raise about identity and threat. It's a visually striking installment that makes excellent use of Scott and Campanella's dynamic, stylized composition.
