Batgirl #15

Batgirl #15 (June 2001) delivers one of the most unsettling cover compositions of the series, with a grinning, gun-toting Joker framed in a keyhole-shaped vignette, wreathed in smoke and radiating that unmistakable gleeful menace. In the foreground, a fallen figure in a dark cape and yellow utility belt lies sprawled and motionless — the contrast between the Clown Prince's triumphant stance and that crumpled form speaks volumes without a single word. Damion Scott's pencils, finished by John Lowe, make this a striking entry in Kelley Puckett's run on the title.
