A gleaming police badge shoved hard into a bloodied man's face says everything you need to know about the tone of this April 2001 issue — the subtitle "BUSTED!!" is not kidding around. Damion Scott and Robert Campanella's cover composition is a wonderfully brutal close-up, all knuckles, impact, and splattering blood, with Batgirl's presence implied through that badge rather than shown directly. Kelley Puckett's run was consistently delivering street-level energy at this point, and this issue's cover makes a compelling case to pick it up.
