Basilisk #3

Jonas Scharf's cover for Basilisk #3 is a genuinely unsettling image: a grinning, green-skinned figure looms behind a young girl in a blue dress, brandishing a bloodied blade while a second clawed hand reaches out from the side — all of it framed by a heap of fallen bodies at their feet. The girl herself seems eerily serene, clutching a basket and releasing glowing petals into the air, making the contrast between innocence and menace all the more striking. Cullen Bunn's "Chapter Three: That Taste for Blood" promises that this BOOM! Studios series is not pulling any punches with its dark, character-driven horror.
