Barney and Betty Rubble #19

Charlton's all-new Hanna-Barbera title brings the Flintstones' favorite neighbors front and center for issue #19, and the cover sets a perfectly playful prehistoric tone. Betty is hanging laundry on the clothesline while a thoroughly grumpy Barney dangles upside-down from the line, soaking wet and clearly the victim of some well-intentioned domestic mishap — nodding to the "Helpful Husband" story inside. It's the kind of cheerful, good-natured Stone Age humor that made this series a delightful companion to the Flintstones comics throughout 1976.
