With Rune Andréasson handling writing, art, and inks, the story blends holiday cheer with classic Scandinavian humor, culminating in a surprising twist involving a hidden helicopter and a very satisfying tarte. The cover, also by Andréasson, captures the whimsical chaos of the journey.

Bamse, Lille Skutt och Skalman blir bjudna på en resa till Jul-ön av Föreningen Prima Prissar (eftersom Bamse är så duktig). Föreningen visar sig bestå av sjörövarna och Vargen i tomtekostymer, och de landsätter vännerna på Julön, där de gillrat en mängd retliga fällor som Bamse går i (exploderande tårta, radio med boxhandske, etc.). Till slut vaknar Skalman (som sovit hela tiden), och plockar fram en helikopter ur skalet, och vännerna kan åka hem. Istället för att straffa Vargen och sjörövarna bakar Bamse och de andra en tårta som de bjuder Vargen på. Vargen tror att tårtan är oätlig, och ger den till familjen Grävling. Tårtan är god, till Vargens förtret.
