Backlash #26

Backlash #26 brings some serious visual intrigue to this 1996 Image series, with cover art by penciler Juvaun Kirby and inker John Tighe showcasing the masked, white-haired Backlash at center stage, flanked by a glowing green-eyed woman and a hulking monstrous figure looming above — plus what appears to be a bestial face lurking at the lower corner. The geometric maze-like background in deep greens gives the whole composition a tense, mysterious atmosphere that suggests complicated alliances and dangerous encounters ahead. Writers Sean Ruffner and Brett Booth clearly had plenty of drama to pack into this chapter of the series.
