Dave Johnson's cover sets a striking tone: a pale, red-eyed woman in a Victorian-style dress stands poised against a billowing nuclear mushroom cloud, tendrils of red veins branching across her body while a massive, tentacled creature looms in the darkness above her. With Mike Mignola and John Arcudi scripting and Max Fiumara and Dave Stewart bringing their distinctive linework and color to the interiors, this 2012 miniseries promises an atmospheric blend of Cold War dread and supernatural menace.
