Azrael: Agent of the Bat #54

Part of DC's 1999 "No Man's Land" crossover event, this issue promises high tension as Azrael — his long blond hair and armored costume unmistakable — grabs a dark-haired woman in glasses (Oracle) in what looks like a desperate or threatening confrontation amid a high-tech command center environment. The cover tagline "Oracle and the Dance of Death!" sets an urgent tone, and Roger Robinson and James Pascoe deliver a dynamic, kinetic image that makes it hard to look away. Dennis O'Neil's "Step into the Light" sounds like exactly the kind of morally charged chapter this series does so well.
