Azrael #3

Azrael looms large and unsettling on Jock's cover for this February 2010 issue, his armored mask dominating the foreground while three sniper-scope crosshairs zero in on a crowd of protesters, a helmeted soldier, and two frightened civilians — a striking image that puts lives squarely in the balance. The fragmented, collage-like composition gives the whole thing a tense, almost fractured feel that suits a story titled "A Single Grain of Sand" perfectly. With Fabian Nicieza scripting and Ramón Bachs on interiors, this third chapter of the revived series is shaping up to be a morally charged ride.
