A messenger brings Diana back to Paradise Island, which has been attacked by Ares, who seeks to wrest the secret of inter-dimensional travel from Hippolyta. Felled in the initial battle, Hippolyta lies in a coma, and so it falls to Diana to make the decision to fight on. Horribly outnumbered and battered by another battle, Diana must come up with a new plan to turn the tide.
