Aventure dans la Jungle #5 (Juin 1973, Éditions Héritage) is the French-Canadian conduit through which Québec readers first encountered one of the most consequential installments of Black Panther's Silver Age saga: 'Le Monarque et l'Homme-Singe,' translated from Avengers #62 (March 1969). That American source issue introduced both M'Baku / Man-Ape and T'Challa's loyal aide W'Kabi — two characters who would become fixtures of Wakandan mythology and, decades later, prominent figures in the MCU. By placing this story inside Héritage's Jungle Action reprint vehicle, the issue also marked the point at which French-Canadian readers could follow T'Challa's Wakanda-set adventures in their own language, at a time when Héritage was the sole publisher of French-translated superhero comics in Québec.

Editions Héritage, founded in Montréal-area Saint-Lambert, Quebec, held Marvel and DC translation rights from 1968 to 1987; from 1971 onward, editorial production of those French titles was overseen by Robert St-Martin, whose name rarely appeared in the books themselves. The Aventure dans la Jungle series directly mirrored Marvel's Jungle Action (1972–1976), and Héritage translated only the first seven issues of that American run, releasing all seven in 1973. Issue #5, cover-dated Juin 1973 and rendered in black-and-white per Héritage's standard format, reprinted the story that had already passed through Jungle Action #5 (July 1973) — making the Héritage edition essentially simultaneous with, or just slightly ahead of, its American Jungle Action vehicle depending on precise on-sale dating.
