Avenging Spider-Man #18

A dark-suited Spider-Man lunges forward through a storm of crackling blue lightning while Thor — hammer nearby, long hair wild — appears to be struggling or falling in the foreground, with an enormous, looming figure dominating the chaos behind them. Marco Checchetto's cover crackles with kinetic energy, and Rachelle Rosenberg's electric blue palette gives the whole scene an urgent, almost mythic charge. Christopher Yost's 2013 run continues to pair Spider-Man with Marvel's heaviest hitters, and this issue looks like it puts both wall-crawler and thunder god through the wringer together.
