Avengers World #4

The banner says it all — "Welcome Home, Starbrand!" — and Mike Deodato's cover delivers on that ominous greeting with Starbrand and a dark-haired woman clinging to a rocky peak while a writhing mass of grasping, desperate figures surge up from below on all sides. It's a striking image of two people fighting to stay above the tide, rendered with Deodato's characteristic intensity and atmospheric warmth from Andres Mossa's coloring. Jonathan Hickman and Nick Spencer's Avengers World was already proving itself one of Marvel's most ambitious 2014 titles, and issue #4 looks to keep that momentum going.
