This April 1959 Charlton anthology packs four war-story teasers onto a single action-packed cover, with vignettes showcasing helmeted soldiers at a rifle position, a damaged B-26 banking through smoke, a submarine launching a torpedo with a thunderous "VOOMP," and an M-7 tank in the heat of battle. The cover art — drawn and inked by a team including Sam Glanzman, Dick Giordano, Bill Molno, Rocco Mastroserio, and Vince Alascia — delivers a vivid sampler of the infantry, air, naval, and armored combat waiting inside. At just ten cents, Attack #57 promises paratroopers storming Cemetery Hill in "Strong Point," a crippled bomber's desperate homeward run, a transport racing a magnetic torpedo, and an M-7 crew squaring off against a Tiger tank — four tense WWII tales written by Joe Gill with art by Sam Glanzman and lettering by Jon D'Agostino.
