Attack #3
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCharlton's Attack #3 (1972) packs three war anthology teasers onto a single energetic cover penciled and inked by Jack Keller and Pat Boyette. The cover is divided into vivid vignettes: helmeted WWII infantrymen storming a position under fire, WWI biplanes tangling in the sky above troops in the trenches, and a hand-to-hand brawl in which a soldier in green delivers a sharp kick to a blue-uniformed opponent — that last scene promising the fisticuffs of interior story "Grudge Fight!" Among the contributors is writer Joe Gill, a Charlton mainstay whose prolific output kept books like this stocked with the kind of gritty, fast-paced military drama that made the publisher's war titles a reliable 20-cent read.
