Atomic Mouse #9
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeAtomic Mouse faces off against his nemesis Shaddap, who schemes to exploit the hero's weakness for mothers and children by kidnapping a baby to use as leverage, while later Atomic Mouse must deal with Shaddap's plan to run for judge in the upcoming election using campaign posters. In a backup story titled "Professor Invento in Mending the Ending," Professor Invento attempts to clean up his laboratory while Swan, a littleist, observes the mess.
When Count Gatto and Shadow cook up a scheme to rob the Mouseville National Bank, they use a clever trick involving a coal delivery—but first, they need to get Atomic Mouse out of the way. A phoney distress call sends the hero rocketing toward Mars, leaving the villains free to make their move on the vault. Racing back after realizing he's been duped, Atomic Mouse has to stop the robbery before it's too late.
When Atomic Mouse discovers that Professor Invento's overworked housekeeper Mrs. Hagg is too burdened with laundry to even offer a proper dinner, he and the Professor decide to invent a labor-saving washing machine to ease her load. But the Professor's well-meaning demonstration hits a snag when he realizes the house lacks electricity—forcing Atomic Mouse to improvise a solution that might just change everything for the household.
Professor Invento just wants to be left alone to finish his work, but the persistent showman Blabber Q. Braggert won't take no for an answer—he's desperate for the Professor to invent a snappy ending for his vaudeville act. As Invento tosses out increasingly wild suggestions, from disappearing cream to jet-propelled pogo sticks, Braggert keeps demanding something with more "zip," refusing to budge until he gets exactly what he's looking for.
