Atomic Mouse confronts Count Gatto, a villain who has enslaved the people of Mouseville through his mysterious hat, which grants him control over the townspeople. Atomic Mouse discovers that Gatto has been using the hat's power to manipulate the citizens and challenges him to a boxing duel, wagering that if he wins, Gatto must free all those he has enslaved. Despite Gatto's confidence and threats, Atomic Mouse defeats him in combat, forcing the villain to relinquish his hold on Mouseville and leave the town forever.
