The issue contains two main stories. "50th Mission" follows Captain Connel and his bomber crew on their fiftieth and final dangerous World War II bombing run over Germany, as they attempt to complete the mission without casualties after flying forty-nine successful flak-ridden missions. "The Commandos' Last Raid" depicts soldiers from the Seventh Ranger Company, assembled from various army units and trained in commando tactics, being sent on a critical final mission to North Korea to obtain proof of foreign intervention by securing enemy nests marked on a tactical map, with one soldier undertaking a dangerous rescue operation to save his wounded brother.
