Astonishing X-Men #3

Against a blazing amber sky, Ed McGuinness and Mark Morales deliver a striking cover that lines up multiple versions of Wolverine — a battle-worn older Logan looming in the foreground with claws fully extended, the familiar yellow-suited Wolverine crouching just behind him, and two more feral figures receding into the distance, with a skull resting ominously in the lower corner. Charles Soule's "Life of X Part Three" keeps the momentum of this 2017 series rolling, and the sheer visual weight of so many incarnations of Marvel's most tenacious mutant sharing one cover makes this issue hard to pass up.
