In "No Trespassing!" from Astonishing #54 (1956), a wealthy landowner sees his fortune grow when he discovers a mysterious beam of light on his property with miraculous healing powers—so he fences it off and charges five thousand dollars to view it. But when the beam, revealed to be part of an alien weapon test, is accidentally amplified to full power, it destroys his estate and leaves him destitute.
