Ash and the Army of Darkness #3

Issue three of Dynamite's Ash and the Army of Darkness delivers a painterly cover — signed by Sullivan — that captures the S-Mart employee turned deadite-slayer at his most defiant. Ash stands atop a rocky outcrop, chainsaw hand lowered and shotgun resting across his shoulder, his torn and bloodied shirt telling its own story against a smoke-filled sky. With Steve Niles and Dennis Calero steering this 2014 series, it's a handsome package for fans of horror-tinged heroics done right.
