Army of Darkness vs. Hack/Slash #6

The penultimate issue of this Dynamite crossover finds Ash and Cassie Hack battered and bloodied, perched atop a heap of defeated deadites in a moment of hard-won, uneasy respite — a striking image rendered by cover artist Stefano Caselli with brooding, atmospheric color. The two horror-world veterans look worse for wear but still standing (or sitting), which says plenty about what this series has put them through. With Tim Seeley writing and Daniel Leister on interior art, this six-part mashup of chainsaw-swinging bravado and slasher-hunting grit is heading into its finale in fine, gruesome form.
