Arkham Manor #3

Batman crouches in a dimly lit cell, tense and watchful, surrounded by spent bullet casings and ominous tally marks scratched across the orange-tinted walls — the cover by Shawn Crystal immediately conveys a Dark Knight deep inside Arkham Manor and very much on edge. Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this February 2015 issue continues Gerry Duggan and Crystal's unsettling series, with Dave McCaig's warm, oppressive color palette giving the whole scene an almost feverish intensity. If you've been following Batman's dangerous undercover situation in this converted Wayne Manor asylum, issue three looks set to push things even further into the dark.
