Archie's Pal Jughead Comics #202

Jughead Jones goes full film-noir detective in this 2010 Archie Comics romp, with Rex W. Lindsey's cover depicting our crown-capped hero looming in a dark trenchcoat, burger in one hand and a towering milkshake in the other, while in the diner behind him a glamorous woman in purple tells a bewildered waiter she's searching for "Semi-Private Eye Jughead Jones" because she needs his help. The story title "The Thin-Malted Man" says it all — this is classic Riverdale humor with a hard-boiled twist, and the setup promises plenty of the deadpan comedy that makes Jughead such an endearing lead.
