Archie's Pal Jughead Comics #138

Jughead Jones has never met this dog before — at least, that's his story, and he's sticking to it. The cover by Rex W. Lindsey is a perfect slice of summer mischief: a relaxed Jughead lounging in a floral shirt next to a very comfortable, sunglasses-wearing sheepdog while a skeptical Beach Patrol officer stands beside a prominent "No Pets Permitted on Beach" sign. It's the kind of breezy, gag-driven fun that made Archie Comics a staple of lazy afternoons, and "Here's the Scoop!" promises more of the same from writer Craig Boldman and artist Rex Lindsey.
