Archie's Joke Book Magazine #211

Summer homework gets the full Riverdale treatment in this August 1975 issue, as Archie arrives on the beach waving a big book and bemoaning Miss Grundy's reading assignment — much to the dismay of a jersey-wearing Jughead and a stylishly hatted Veronica relaxing nearby. The gag plays out in two bonus panels below, where Jughead's genius solution — splitting the book into even and odd pages — leaves Archie looking gloriously baffled. It's a perfectly sunny slice of Archie humor that captures everything fun about the series.
