About this Collection

This oversized collection gathers a whimsical selection of Archie Comics stories centered on the themes of magic, music, and mischief. Featuring the classic Riverdale gang—Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and friends—the volume compiles humorous and lighthearted tales from various eras, showcasing their adventures with spells, musical mishaps, and playful pranks. It's a fun, family-friendly sampler that highlights the enduring charm of Archie's world through a mix of vintage and modern comic strips.

"Presenting Sabrina the Teen-Age Witch" kicks off in Archie's Big Book #1 (2017) with a delightfully quirky mystery: Little Archie dons a makeshift superhero guise to crack the case of the missing hubcaps and radios from the teachers’ cars. Suspecting the South Side Serpents, he’s surprised to find the real culprit is Chester Punkett—working solo, without Mad Doctor Doom in sight. With help from his usual antics and a clever plan, Little Archie enlists the Serpents’ unwitting aid, all while Ronnie, the school paper’s sharp-eyed reporter, tries to keep up with the action. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, with colors by Barry Grossman and letters by Bolling, the issue’s cover by Dan DeCarlo and Bob Bolling captures the playful chaos of Riverdale’s most mischievous moment yet.

Little Archie disguises himself as "Little Archie, Super Sleuth" to try and solve the mystery of who's been stealing hubcaps and radios from the teachers' cars. He suspects the South Side Serpents, but while keeping an eye on them, he notices the real culprit: Chester Punkett, working alone without Mad Doctor Doom. Little Archie can't stop Chester on his own, so he finds a way to get the Serpents to help him without knowing it. Meanwhile, Ronnie, an intrepid reporter for the school newspaper, tries to cover Little Archie's super sleuthing.
