“What's in a Name?”

Summer is in full swing on this 1974 giant-sized edition, with the whole Riverdale gang packed onto a sunny beach — Betty and Veronica lounging on a blanket with a transistor radio playing, Archie holding a surfboard, Dilton buried in a book, and the rest of the crew soaking up the fun all around them. A perfectly timed gag plays out in the speech bubbles, with one character complaining about keeping insects away from their peaches — drawing an oblivious but hilarious reply from Dilton. The World of Archie always delivered wholesome good times, and this oversized issue looks like a genuine beach-day treat.
