Archie & Friends #93
A poolside escape turns anything but peaceful in this cheerful 2005 entry in the Archie & Friends series. The cover by Stan Goldberg and Bob Smith nails the gag perfectly — a heavyset man reclines contentedly by the pool, sighing that he's finally away from city noises, while Veronica smiles beside him, completely unaware that Archie's band is charging in behind them with guitars and a drum kit. It's a warm, funny snapshot of Riverdale's signature brand of well-meaning chaos, with writer Scott Cunningham's "Seeing Things" promising plenty more of the same inside.
