“That’s Snow Business”

A ski trip brings out the best — and most competitive — instincts of the Riverdale gang in this April 1999 issue of Archie & Friends. The cover by Dan DeCarlo (inked by Henry Scarpelli) places Archie and Betty chatting cheerfully on the snowy slopes while Veronica looms behind them, ski pole raised with clear intent, apparently agreeing that yes, things can get very dangerous out there. It's a warm, funny snapshot of the trio's classic dynamic, dressed up in colorful winter gear and ready to hit the mountain.
