Archie Comics Digest #76
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe holiday rivalry between Betty and Veronica plays out perfectly on Dan DeCarlo's cover, where Archie kneels amid a pile of wrapped gifts beneath a decorated Christmas tree — caught squarely between Betty offering her present and a visibly competitive Veronica making clear she'd be happy to swap it out. At 128 pages, this 1986 digest packs in a generous stack of Archie fun, all wrapped up in one of the season's most cheerful cover setups.

It's the holiday season, and Archie is working at Uriah Scourge's jewelry store to earn some extra money. Archie's boss bears a striking resemblance to Mr. Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. He won't let Archie have time off, and is a skinflint - even donning an old ratty sweater so he can get a free meal at the local rescue mission. When he returns, he chases carolers away from his store. As Archie and his boss are closing up shop for the night, an un-named man walks into the store, flashes a gun and demands money.
