In "Retroverse One," a twisted version of Sub Diego is ruled by an authoritarian Aquaman whose motives are far from heroic. With Aquagirl at his side, this alternate Aquaman captures Councilman Asano and the confused Anton Geist, setting off a mystery that questions who’s really in control. Written by John Arcudi and brought to life by Patrick Gleason’s art, with inks by Christian Alamy and colors by Nathan Eyring, this 2005 DC issue features a cover by Gleason and Alamy that captures the tension of a world turned upside down.
