Aquaman #2

The second chapter of this 1989 five-part DC miniseries finds the King of the Seven Seas in full fighting form — and Curt Swan and Al Vey's cover makes that unmistakably clear. Aquaman surges forward in his orange-and-green costume, expression fierce and determined, while an entire army of similarly suited underwater figures swirls around him in the churning blue depths, explosions erupting in the background. With the tagline "Striking Back!" and a creative team of Giffen, Fleming, Swan, and Vey behind it, this is a confident, energetic installment that promises the Sea King is very much done playing defense.
