“The Dick and the Doll Part One”

In "The Dick and the Doll Part One," private investigator Private Dick enlists his cousin Apache to help him unravel the mystery behind Baby Doll, a dazzling woman whose wealthy husbands keep meeting untimely ends—each leaving her with a fortune. With Darick Robertson’s sharp, kinetic art and Will Jacobs and Gerard Jones’ sharp script, the case takes a dangerous turn as Apache begins to question whether Baby Doll is truly a killer or something far more complicated. The cover by Madman adds a bold, stylized edge to this 1990 Malibu mystery.

Private Dick recruits his cousin Apache to attract the attention of Baby Doll, a beautiful woman whose wealthy husbands keep dying (and leaving her their large estates). That part of the job is simple, but Apache isn't really sure that she's a killer, as she resists every hint that she should get rid of her current husband.
