Ant-Man #3

The cover of this 2015 Marvel series issue says it all: a tiny, red-suited Ant-Man tumbles helplessly between the enormous grasping hands of a massive, skull-faced hooded figure, making the size contrast genuinely unsettling. Mark Brooks renders the threat with remarkable detail — that decaying, skeletal visage looming over Scott Lang is the kind of image that sticks with you long after you've closed the cover. Part of the Avengers Now! initiative, this issue makes a strong case that the smallest Avenger can face some very, very large problems.
