Launched as part of DC's 1994 "Zero Hour" initiative, Anima #0 offers a striking entry point into this series with its tagline "The Beginning of Tomorrow!" Steve Crespo and Will Blyberg's cover puts Anima front and center — clad in sleek silver armor, blonde hair flying, green energy crackling at her fists — while an enormous, shadowy figure with piercing green eyes looms ominously behind her. It's a confident visual statement of a young hero facing something much larger than herself, and with Elizabeth Hand and Paul Witcover at the helm of "Zero Summer," there's real creative ambition behind that cover charge.
