Angel #21
IDW's Angel #21 brings a charged, atmospheric cover from Gabriel Rodriguez, featuring a dark-haired young woman in the foreground gripping an ornate, jewel-set dagger — her blue eyes steady and determined amid a backdrop of crumbling ruins. A second woman with long, curling brown hair stands watchfully behind her, the cracked-glass framing lending the whole image a sense of fractured tension. With Kelley Armstrong scripting and Stefano Martino on interior art, this 2009 IDW entry in the Angel series has a lot going for it beyond the striking cover alone.
