Angel #20

IDW's Angel #20 from 2009 delivers a striking cover by Gabriel Rodriguez that puts a fierce, blonde warrior front and center — hair wild, fists ready — as she launches into action against a grotesque, multi-eyed creature with grasping claws looming around her. The deep crimson background and Rodriguez's detailed linework give the whole scene a genuinely menacing atmosphere that fits right in with the darker corners of the Angel universe. With Kelley Armstrong writing and interior art from Dave Ross, this is a solid chapter in IDW's run with the series.
