David Mack's lush watercolor cover for issue #5 draws three figures into a dreamlike composition — a woman in profile on the left and two men whose faces emerge from a swirling halo of amber, lavender, and floral color. The spider symbol nestled in the title lettering hints at the mythic threads connecting them all, while the soft geometric patterns and scattered blossoms give the whole image a quietly enchanted mood. Marc Bernardin and Shawn Martinbrough's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's beloved novel continues to look absolutely stunning on the shelf.
