“La zone mortelle”

"La zone mortelle" delivers a tense, emotionally charged chapter in the American B.D. saga, where loyalty and survival collide on the war-torn island of Bokunh. When Torie is injured during a military coup, his comrades Skob and Zeerod are forced into opposing choices—Skob abandons him, only to later regret his decision, while Zeerod defies orders to track him down. Written by Alan Zelenetz and brought to life with striking detail by Frank Cirocco, with inks by Terry Austin and colors by Bob Sharen, this 1985 issue stands out for its raw character dynamics and atmospheric tension. The cover, also by Cirocco and Austin, captures the moment’s urgency with precision.
